Product(s): Promis.e, Bentley Substation Version(s): through 08.11.13.96 Environment: N/A Area: Wiring Features Subarea: 3 Phase Wire Background The 3 Phase Wire tool allows three wires to be drawn simultaneously on a schematic. Spacing The wires will be drawn one grid point apart from each other. To control the spacing of the wires, set the active grid spacing as desired before initiating the 3 Phase Wire tool. Connections To connect a vertical section of three phase wires phase-to-phase to a horizontal section or vice versa, draw one section "into" the other section. In other words, start the second section away from the first, and pick the first or third phase of the first section to end on. The sections will connect differently depending on whether the first or third phase is chosen as the ending point, so try each. If the second phase is chosen to end on, all wires of the second section will connect to the second phase of the first. If the second section is begun by click a phase on the first section, all wires will connect to that phase. To start the 3 Phase Wire tool V8i SELECTseries 5 through 8 From the Tasks or ribbon area, select Design > *Wiring > 3 Phase Wire V8i through SELECTseries 4 From the Tasks or ribbon area, select Schematic Design > *Wiring > 3 Phase Wire promis.e 2007 Select Wiring > 3 Phase Wire * is used to denote a menu selection that is not necessary in some versions or platforms.
