Hi Avanti i see two issues. 1. If I copy and convert the ALG into RSALG, the file will no longer be updated by the track engineers. I risk designing signals on a outdated track design. I would be better if I designed directly on top of the live an updated ALG. 2. If I choose the copy solution described above, what happens with my signal design when evetually changing the an outdated RSALG wih a updated RSALG? /Lennart

Hi Elango, You can try using the Key mapping in Promis.e by selecting the Key according to the what is displayed on the screen. For an e.g you can refer the below image where for opening Catalog Manager you select "E" key on the keyboard and then select "1" for catalog manager the Key for function can be seen on the left side of the function. Hi Doug, It is not possible to show the complete drawing page within each thumbnail as the feature is not available in Promis.e CONNECT. You need to directly open the drawing page to view and work on the drawing.

Hi Lalitesh, I think you may have misunderstood me. When I said I want to show the complete drawing within the thumbnail I meant that all of my thumbnails are off centre. A thumbnail is a smaller version of an original image, but it does need to capture the complete original. In this example, each of the six thumbnails shown is missing the right hand section of the orignial drawing and there is empty space on the left. Is there no way to get promise to regenerate the thumbnail images so the border is in the centre and I get the full extents of the drawing shown like this example below? Regards, Doug

Hi Doug, For displaying the full extents of drawing in the thumbnails , you can try clicking on Fit view tool to adjust the view of the drawing page. Also , you can adjust the view of the drawing by moving the mouse scroll back and forth to zoom in/out the view of drawing page. In the thumbnail view of the page , it will display the page according to the view set from the scroll button of the mouse. So, in the last saved view of the page is displayed in the thumbnail view. You can try adjusting the view by using the mouse scroll. The same view will be available in the thumbnail. Hope this helps.

Hello Lalitesh, I started a new project and tried your suggestions, to get the three following thumbnails, I had to place the contents of each drawing on the left of my screen, I'm going to give up on the thumbnail view, it seems broken to me, and it's not that important anyway. Substation stores all the Projects details in a SQL Database. And one Project Database can store details for several Projects. While installing Substation CONNECT Edition by default a SQL Server Express is installed with SQL Server (local)\BENTLEYECAD and after first run Substation will try to create Project Database substation . Each version of the Substation has its own corresponding database schema and "version" number property. When creating or updating the project database using Script, be sure the source material will create or update the database with the correct version number. For example, using a script from the program folder of the software version x will not necessarily create/update the database to a version compatible with the software version y. If the database is created/updated from different media than the version of the software being used, a "Database version does not match the application" message will display when trying to connect to the database in the software. If the media is older, the database schema will then have to be updated. If the media is newer, the software will need to be updated. Note: The "Executing a Script" methods are recommended when the project database is hosted by SQL Server running on a different machine than the workstation. Confirm Password Enter the same password as entered into the Password field. Test Connection button After configuring the parameters on the Create Project Database tab, click the Test Connection button. If the utility determines the parameters on the dialog are acceptable, a confirmation message is displayed in the message window and the Execute Script button will become available. Otherwise, see the message display area for reasons why the test failed. Execute Script button Click the Execute Script button to create the database. A separate command window will open as the database is created. How can I create a BOM/Report on just a section of a substation or of a single page within the project. Is this possible with the "ELEMENT SELECTION" key or by fence or per page rather than BOM Quantified or any of those pre-setup BOM/Report layouts. If I reference just a small part of the substation into a sheet can I run a Report just on that. If so How doe I do this?

Hi Johan, You can run filter on for the BOM Reports for a particular page or any other filter that is available. You follow the below steps for the same. Reports and Graphical plan >> Run Reports ( Wiki Link as below) >> Select the Report >> Filter and select the Field , relation ship and Value according to the requirement.
