Hi Johan, If you are try to generate report for specific portion of DGN you can use multiple filter for, like if you want to select a set of symbols placed on a particular page then you can add filter "Page", and then you can also specify the filters like "Installation & Location" or "Device Tag / s" to generate report for a specific section. Promis.e stores all the Projects details in a SQL Database. And one Project Database can store details for several Projects. While installing Substation CONNECT Edition by default a SQL Server Express is installed with SQL Server (local)\BENTLEYECAD and after first run Substation will try to create Project Database substation . Each version of the Promis.e has its own corresponding database schema and "version" number property. When creating or updating the project database using Script, be sure the source material will create or update the database with the correct version number. For example, using a script from the program folder of the software version x will not necessarily create/update the database to a version compatible with the software version y. If the database is created/updated from different media than the version of the software being used, a "Database version does not match the application" message will display when trying to connect to the database in the software. If the media is older, the database schema will then have to be updated. If the media is newer, the software will need to be updated. Note: The "Executing a Script" methods are recommended when the project database is hosted by SQL Server running on a different machine than the workstation. Is there a way of selecting part of the substation design and relocate the selected symbols to a different Location as a complete selection. It takes a very long time to do this individually. Hi Johan, Thank you for the update, You can create Section Views of part of a DGN and use the same as a reference in some other location. But it might not yield desired results as the reports use Database details to generate the results, hence it would be helpful if you can assign Installation / Location for the symbols that you might require to group and then generate the reports by filtering the installation / location. Hi, I'm receiving several errors in Promis*e V8i Series 6 (autocad). First error I'm getting is the startup error listed here: https://communities.bentley.com/products/electrical___instrumentation/w/electrical_and_instrumentation__wiki/11723/error-at-startup---the-given-key-was-not-present-in-the-dictionary-device-mdb Switching the device.mdb file did not correct that problem. Clicking OK on the error still loads Promis*e. Upon opening catalog manager, I get the "Error Message:The given key was not present in the directory" error. Clicking OK on the error still loads the catalog manager, but everything is blank. Here is the layout of files locally: Thoughts? Device.ldb is only 1KB, is that right? Note: Other users are also affected. I'm not able to create any symbols or families, it tells me that the catalog is not writable.

Hi Aaron, Are you getting the Error Message "Error at Startup the given key is not present" ? Can you share the actual screen shot for the issue you are facing. Also you can follow the below Wiki Link suggestion and check if it helps. We would like to know the version of Promis.e that you are currently facing the issue in. The Device.idb file is created when the Device.mdb file is being used and its deleted automatically when the Device.mdb is not being used. It Is just a temperoary file that's is created. Satish, The suggested Multi_Language_UI.mdb file did not solve the problem. I was able to solve the problem by reverting back to a previous version of Catalog.mdb in the shared (not local) directory. I had a hunch it was corrupt based on its time stamp and the time we started seeing errors.
